HiSET Test
Overview: The HiSET is a new test offered in Tennessee as of January 2014. It is just like the GED test, in that students who pass it will be awarded a high school equivalency diploma. The diploma does not distinguish which test the student took.
Format: The test consists of multiple-choice tests in Reading, Math, Writing, Science and Social Studies, as well as one written essay. Students may take the test on a computer or with paper/pencil.
Cost: The test costs $75. Students may retake any portion of the test for free twice in a calendar year.
